This stylish vintage cabinet comes from Gansu Province in China, dating from the 1930s. It has recently been lightly restored in an artisan workshop in Beijing, retaining the peony motifs on the front of the three drawers. The piece is painted a deep warm yellow while the main doors retain the original hand painted images of chinese mountain scenes.
The whole piece features decorative carving that adds to the items uniquness and character. To preserve and protect its patinated appearance a gloss finish has been applied. This cabinet creates a feature in any room or hallway. It adds a stylish yet bohemian accent to any comtemporary home.
